You can't beat some ice cream in the heat. This is the perfect healthy dessert for a summer's day that's simple to make.
This dairy-free recipe contains a range of beneficial nutrients including bananas (rich in potassium & fibre, raw cacao (one of the richest sources of polyphenols - antioxidants, anti-inflammatory) and walnuts (healthy fats, protein and omega 3)

Ingredients
3 frozen bananas
1 heaped tbsp of raw cacao
2 tbsp of milk of choice
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
Nuts of choice, chopped (I used walnuts)
Sprinkle of desiccated coconut (optional)
Pinch of salt
Recipe
Add the bananas to a food processor with the raw cacao, milk, maple syrup/honey and salt. Blend until smooth (add more milk if you need to loosen it)
Serve immediately and sprinkle over the nuts and coconut if using
